The RN Educator core functions include daily assessment of patient care needs to determine the most appropriate use of expertise in clinical coordination, patient and staff education, attention to systems issues that require intervention and quality and performance measures. The RN Educator will support all the Primary Care locations within VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Responsibilities include but limited to: Assist nursing staff in the provision of complex patient care. Responsible for orientation of new employees, evaluation of their progress in the orientation process, develop and implement a learning plan for improving identified deficiencies. Responsible for the initiation and process for completing annual staff competencies. Work collaboratively with other members of the nursing education team under the direction of General Medicine Service Line Leadership. . Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: Annual leave at the rate of eight (8) hours per biweekly pay period; Sick leave at the rate of four (4) hours per biweekly pay period; 10 paid Federal holidays per year.
