The coordinator, under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, coordinates the clinical management and educational activities of designated client care services. Directs, educates and supervises professional and auxiliary personnel involved in the training center, independent living program, foot clinics, patient transportation and courier services. Responsible for growing and establishing processes to facilitate the growth of the programs under the areas of responsibilities. Performs marketing duties and fosters public relations for Benefis Spectrum Medical Inc. Communicates the concept of quality patient care to the general public. Assume all duties as needed for these Programs. Understands budget and productivity standards and assists in budgeting and overall portfolio performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) curriculum and licensing through DPHHS Certification Bureau Quality Assurance Division.
Serve as a test proctor for Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP)
Works with Spectrum leadership to ensure growth and sustainability of Private Duty Service lines including but not limited to; The Training Center, Private Duty Nursing, Foot Clinics, Transport Services, LabWorks, and Couriers.
Responsible for the supervision, management and evaluation of personnel in designated services.
Maintain knowledge of standards, guidelines and organizations that may enhance the quality of care for these Departments. This includes but is not limited to knowledge of guidelines and/or licensing for Training Center, Ambulance Services.
Promote Private Duty referrals and ensure, through judicious use of personnel, quality care.
Demonstrate awareness of issues and trends in health care management and consumer needs and service demands.
Responsible for assisting in development and maintenance yearly budgets pertaining to capital equipment and supplies for designated service lines.
Orientate and educate professional and auxiliary personnel.
Assist in the interviewing of and hiring personnel.
Assure compliance with local, State and Federal laws regarding licensure and certification of staff.
Participate in the development of policies for designated services.
Develops patient centered, individualized written plan of care for independent clients prior to assigning staff
Provides skilled nursing care as requested for independent living clients, after obtaining written order from provider as necessary
Communicates ongoing plan of care with independent living families as established in the plan of care
Recommends to family and physician needed referrals to other disciplines and/or community resources when identified.
Assign appropriate staff level to all services and maintain a personal visit schedule with personal care and home health services.
Ensure proper maintenance of medical records in compliance with local, State and Federal laws.
Participates in projects, systems development and other meetings involving the Departments.
Track statistical data to include preparation, review, and distribution of appropriate reports and other documents on departmental activities.
Maintain a good standing in the medical community and foster public relations.
Participate actively in professional organizations and personal and professional growth.

Current State of Montana Registered Nurse license required.
Strong clinical background.
Three (3) years recent RN experience, one (1) year experience in long term care preferred.
