The Regional Director of Nursing provides clinical guidance and oversight to the clinical and operational team at their communities. They support informational and direct care demonstration for the Director, Health and Wellness and personal care staff. They promote resident health including reporting changes in resident condition or compliance to State and company policies to Regional Director, Operations.
Train and oversee community staff to perform thorough health assessments on all new residents, monitor the health status of all current residents, and assure resident assessments and care plans are entered into the clinical systems software.
Monitor community activity including initiating actions as required in improving residents’ health status.
Support all Assisted Living and Memory Care Directors in hiring, coaching, orientating, scheduling, training, and evaluating of staff as needed.
Conduct community audits as required of current operational systems to ensure staff compliance with policy and procedure and community security.
Support the Regional Director, Operations in maintaining compliance with all local, state, federal and licensing rules and regulations associated with the licensure of the building as they pertain to clinical and risk management activities.
Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, take actions which assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, and visitors.
Seek out and perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Must have compassion for and desire to work with seniors!
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred in business or a field related to the position. Registered Nurse - State specific accreditation or license required.
Must have proven clinical and leadership expertise. Minimum three years’ experience in Assisted Living, Alzheimer’s or Memory Care or other applicable experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong personnel skills, and positive community relations skills are essential.
Experience in Residential Care Management, State Rules and Regulations, and Risk Management.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
